The Late Season Garden -- Notes From the Seasons
Something about the unruly remains of a garden bed in late fall. We're still cutting broccoli from the row, but there's too much. The flowers are proof of the profligate fertility left over. Is it waste? Not for the bees.
Can our mistakes and misdirections, the proof of our unruly lives be of similar use to others in our orbit or our wake? When things go awry in a well-intentioned life, is there a silver lining if we could just focus wider or tighter?
I don't have the answers, but I have to ask. Are their flowers in your late season garden bed?
